As an 8th Generation Chef, I started cooking at the early age of eight, and had the privilege to grow up around amazing food. By 17 I was the Sous-chef in my father’s fine dining french restaurant and that is when I realized that cooking is not only a passion but also in my genes.
After graduation from Johnston & Wales University in 2002 with BA in Food Service Entrepreneurship I became the executive chef of Cafe of the Arts in Sarasota, FL. After winning best young chef of the South East in a culinary competition in 2004; I decided to broaden my horizon by acquiring experience in other fine dining restaurants in New York and Paris (Lasserre). In 2004, it was time for a change and moved my family to Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica where we established Mar Y Sol Restaurant. We have been open since 2005 and have developed a very good reputation in both the restaurant and our catering services. In April of 2012 I opened Coco Loco Restaurant Playa Flamingo beach and we opened Pangas Restaurant and fish Market Tamarindo In December 2012
